![]() I have tried changing the binary values of the ports in the registry editor, but changing those values had no effect. Side note: Following the instructions on this website: basically useless.Īll in all, I would really like to know if anyone has been able to meaningfully re task their ports on an As-rock board, and if so, please enlighten me as to how! I tried connecting the speakers jack to the (blue) line in jack and retask it using ASUSs modified version of the Realtek audio driver (ASUS call it SupremeFX) but it only offered the choice of 'Line in' or 'Side speaker Out' when I plug it in. You may notice that it says connector retasking in the image below, but the re tasking is limited to "line in" only. So I searched up on Google on retasking other rear audio jack but that didnt help much. On my new motherboard, I don't even get a standalone executable, but instead get a shitty built in windows one riddled with minor errors and confusing sub-menus. ![]() On my old motherboard, (2013, sadly forgot the name but it was MSI) I remember that realtek looked like this: With this realtek executable I could do tons of stuff, including re-task the rear ports. Is it still possible to re-task rear audio jacks, ie, can i change my rear speaker out port to a headphone port instead using software? This might sound like a stupid question, but realtek is driving me insane. ![]()
